Anna mini was a physicist and meteorologist who was the biggest name in Indian physics
She worked to make accurate weather predictions, and also she worked in the field of the renewable energy field
She was the perfect example of women empowerment in India at her time, breaking all gender-based stereotype
She was born on August 23, 1918, in a Syrian-Christian family in peerumade village in kerala
From childhood, she was good at her studies; once, she refused diamond earrings in her childhood for a set of encyclopedia Britannica; she was eight years old at that time
Later she graduated in physics and chemistry from presidency college madras and also got a research scholarship from the Indian institute of science
She then studied spectroscopy under sir CV Raman a noble prize winner
She was a physicist with Gandhian values and always wore khadi clothes
She also studied at London imperial college and got inclined toward meteorological instrument
She produced more than 100 weather instruments for India
In 1987 she became deputy director general of the Indian meteorological department and was awarded the Indian national science award for her contribution
She died on august 16, 2001, in Thiruvananthapuram Kerala
